Catherine “Catt” Sencion is the program coordinator for MESA Schools Program. She grew up in Downey, California, and started her educational journey at the University of California, Davis, in 2018 as a political science major. After completing a few Chicana and Chicano Studies and women’s studies courses, she decided to triple major. She earned her bachelor's degrees in Chicana and Chicano Studies; gender, sexuality and women’s studies; and political science in 2022. In her final year at UC Davis, she applied to San Jose State University to pursue a Master of Arts in Chicana and Chicano Studies and is now in the spring semester of her final year.

She joined MESA in January 2023 and loves outreach work with students. For leisure, she enjoys reading, yoga and hanging out with her family and four dogs.
