Betzabet “Betzi” Zarate Romero, emigrated from Mexico to  the United States, settling in Los Angeles, California. She is in her third year at the University of California, Davis, and seeks  a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition as part of a pre-medicine track. She plans to become a physician and serve underrepresented communities, especially Latinx ones. Betzi started working with MESA in 2022 and is passionate about helping students get involved in STEM. Her hobbies include working out, cooking healthy meals, learning about nutrition and spending time with her family.
